The Old Testament vineyard is located in the heart of the Coonawarra, and this Cabernet is grown by vigneron David Wittwer.
Some of us think that Coonawarra is a satellite appellation of Bordeaux, such is the way Coonawarra cabernet can muster Bordelais elegance and tannin and quiet power.
Our 2017 Old Testament Rich does this, but with another deft tier of ripeness and richness.
This is a generous and giving cabernet, but it in no way has jettisoned any of the tannic structure and formality that proper cabernet is renowned for.
Ripe, dark berry fruits and subtle oak. Scotch Fillet or Legs of Lamb.
