2017 Epiphany McLaren Vale Shiraz

This Sister's Run Epiphany Shiraz is grown by Tony Parkinson at his famous McLaren Vale vineyard. These tough Shiraz vines produce rich flavours in their berries as they strive to 'populate or perish'. Only 9,218 dozen produced.

Tasting Note

The first thing that strikes you about this wine is the well-deserved wine show medals all over the front label.

The wine itself is fresh, young and vibrant in colour with that faint haze from having been unfiltered: all the good things get to stay in...

The nose is a useful combination of deft oaks spice and caramel with McLaren Vale's indubitable white chocolate Shiraz aromatics.

This harmony continues at the front palate with winsome and plush Shiraz flavours of plum and earth, spice and ripe blackberries.

Oak tannins provide structure and ribbing for the ever-giving fruit before a finish that comes with high-note of acid and a dry tannic aftertaste. Barbecue a sausage. Two sausages.
