Vintage 2020, Week 4

As we enter week 4 of Vintage 2020, the autumnal weather continues with lovely warm days and fine cool evenings. The perfect conditions to harvest our wines.

Early this week we harvested our Calvary Hill Barossa Shiraz.  Our current vintage of this wine has already won a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition and Gold Medals at both Vienna International Wine Challenge and China Wine & Spirits Best Value Competition. 

With a classic Barossa dark, salted chocolate aroma and flavour.  Cinnamon, nutmeg, and liquered chocolate all bound by a cloak of savouriness and balanced with acidity.  This wine has great richness with line and balance.  We imagine drinking this wine with hard local cheeses.  The cheese optional!
